(Tepper is probably not for you unless you like yelling at books and being hit over the head with sledgehammers and really thinking about how humanity fucks up. This is not incompatible with enjoying contemporary fantasy based on fairy tales and folk lore, but as literary categories they aren't exactly causally LINKED. Oi.)
